Martin Kohout (*1984 in Prag) ist Absolvent der Filmhochschule FAMU Prag und zur Zeit Student der UdK bei Prof. Gregor Schneider in Berlin. Er zählt zur postdigitalen Künstlergeneration, die sich in ihrem Werk mit dem Internet und sozialen Netzwerken beschäftigen. Erfahrung aus dem Filmstudium überschneidet sich mit der jetzigen künstlerischen Arbeit und seiner konzeptuell orientierten Arbeitsweise: Auseinandersetzung mit Appropriation, Objekten, Drehbüchern für real-life Aktionen bis zu Arbeiten, die Internetkultur miteinbeziehen.
